These terms apply when you use VocabStory. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

VocabStory helps you learn English vocabulary through stories, meanings, examples, flashcards and practice. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops. The current free-plan limits are shown in the app; at the time of writing the free plan includes three stories, three flashcard sessions and three practice sessions per day.

Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login secure. Do not share your account or use another person's account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Free and Premium access

Free access is subject to the limits shown in the app. Premium access unlocks the features and limits shown at checkout and in the app. We may change plans or limits, but we will not reduce a paid period you have already purchased without a remedy.

Payments and renewal

Manual payments are made through the methods shown in the app, such as bKash, Nagad, Rocket or bank transfer. Google Play purchases are handled by Google. Renewal, cancellation and refunds depend on the payment method and the terms shown at purchase. Contact support if a payment is unclear.

Acceptable use

Do not use VocabStory to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, scrape the service at scale, bypass access controls, or interfere with other learners. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service.

AI-assisted content

Some content and feedback are generated or evaluated with AI. AI output can contain errors or omit context. Use it as a learning aid, not as a guarantee of an exam score or professional advice. You are responsible for checking important information.

Intellectual property

The VocabStory name, design, software and editorial content are owned by VocabStory or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service for your own learning. Do not copy, resell or redistribute the service or its content without permission.

Your content

If you submit notes, answers or other content, you keep ownership of it and grant us the permission needed to store and process it to provide the service. Do not submit sensitive personal data about yourself or others.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but maintenance, network problems and third-party outages can interrupt it. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise a particular learning outcome, exam result or that every word, example or AI-generated story is complete or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VocabStory is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Bangladesh, unless applicable consumer law gives you another forum.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
